Um... yes, you do. But Pavarotti thought it was great - he had his own "Pop" recordings, and didn't look down his nose at that at all.
While I wouldn't recommend buying them, his "Pavarotti and Friends" recordings testify to that.
(You can watch them on YouTube instead of buying them. Check out my friend Nancy Gustafson singing with him. Nancy and I were in High School together.)
