I noticed a Best Buy advert on the individual movie pages, which I assume is new (I forgot which was the last one. Wasn't it "buy.com"?)
Generally, advertisers keep track of the clicks, which means more money for the site for each click. So, I hope you all remember to click that ad as many times as possible: it keeps this site paid-for. And I loves me some paid-for site.
[Also, it wouldn't hurt to buy something from Best Buy if they've got something you want.] |

Strictly speaking, anyone outside the US won't know what you're on about since the ad only comes up if you're in the US. And even then maybe not (figuring out where someone is connecting from isn't an exact science, sadly).
But yep- US folks used to get play.com like the rest of us, but given that about 90% of visitors are US-based, some folks suggested BestBuy as where they preferred to get DVDs (a few years back, at least) and we've been averaging about 6000(!!!) unique visitors a day of late, I figured I should probably do something about this.
Oh, and clicks don't get you jack these days- it's all about the sales, so yes- if there's any DVDs or whatnot you're after then feel free to follow the link. Of course, this is assuming BestBuy are still any good- if there's anywhere the majority of you prefer to buy from, let me know and I'll see about switching or something. |

Dang! And here I went and sprained my clicking finger by clicking that damned advert repeatedly. Oh well, I'll keep them on my buyer's list. And I assume that the purchase should be after clicking on the link from this site. |

| I usually use Amazon, and in my case Amazon.ca. But my number 2 son just dropped $500.00 at Best Buy today, but at a an actual store. |

| You should set up the Best Buy link to work for Canada, too. |

| Would Google Adsense be of any benefit, Benj? I host those on a few of my sites (very minor in traffic and importance) and usually get a buck or so per day from them. Caution, fwiffers: if Benj does install Google Adsense ads some time, don't urge folks to click on them or the account could be suspended. |

It's tempting but what always puts me off is the complete lack of control you have over the look of a google ad. Seriously, if I stuck one of those into the site anywhere, it'd be so jarringly at odds with everything else it'd drive me nuts. I'm considering it, but not too much right now. |

Seems like Netflix might be a natural fit with this site... |

| Besides the "IMDB" link on each film's page, could you set up an "Amazon" link to the movie? That way if someone bought, say, "Monsturd" or "Chatterbox" on DVD, you could get a small cut. |

(CAUTION: Shameless plug ahead)
Until Benj sets up any Amazon links, you can always link through This Site for all your multi-media needs. |

Nice one. So, which one are you, Wheelz? Ron or Scott? |

I'm Scott. Nice to meet you.
And thanks for the compliment, Koli. The site is an amateur effort, but I never claim otherwise. I just try to fill in with content little by little as time allows. |
