...and my favorite, "Free Fallin'", which I'll grant you, makes no SENSE at all... and I love it!
But as for an annoying song...since ever, I've hated Mac Davis's "Baby Don't Get Hooked On Me." Yeah, right. Let him drill your brains out, but don't fall in love with him.  Some singers just can't pull off a song like that...or the lyrics just don't show enough regret with regard to the guy being an ass.
Meat Loaf is one of the few who pulled it off well. |

How about the first song Bo Bice came out with? I choose not to remember the actual title, but they played it non-stop for about three months here and it was enough to make me want to climb a building with a rifle. Just kidding 'bout that last comment, people who read these things in search of true nutters.

I gave this some more thought, so here are my 25 most hated songs, in no particular order:
- Achy Breaky Heart - Billy Ray Cyrus
- Afternoon Delight - Starlight Vocal Band
- Do Ya Think I'm Sexy? - Rod Stewart
- Escape (The Pina Colada Song) - Rupert Holmes
- Feelings - Morris Albert
- I Touch Myself - The DeVinyls
- I Would Walk (500 Miles) - The Proclaimers
- I Write the Songs - Barry Manilow
- I'm Too Sexy - Right Said Fred
- Macarena - Los del Rio (when you work at a facility for MR/DD for 14 years and they have a weekly dance, guess what song got played at least 5 times each week???)

I think he means [You Are] Everything by Hall & Oats - that is certainly one of their most annoying songs. They were funny on Will & Grace, though.
Hm... where's that stupid "Birdy" dance song. It should be on this list, I'm sure!

My, my, how can anyone not like Waterloo, especially after the version Toni Collette and Rachel Griffiths did in Muriel's Wedding?
I also love The Proclaimers, pretty much anything Elton John and would like to rescue My Sharona from the list of despised songs. Throw the rest in the fire, though, I'll toast a marshmallow.

Good lists folks. I haven't heard a lot of the songs here, but the ones I have heard I certainly don't like. In order for me to like a song it probably has to be either opera (and I don't like most opera), perhaps some pop-opera, or the guttural, evil, demonic snarling gurgle of a Nordic black/death metal singer.
There are a few exceptions here, I love Eddie Vedder's voice and will haunt anyone who lists him as most annoying singer.  |
