They play SL in a couple of hours. Can't see SL losing.
I stand by my previous guess of AUS, SRI, SAF, NZL for the semis. NZ would have to do pretty poorly from here to not make it, i.e., lose four of their last five matches including one to a minnow, having comfortably won all four so far. |

Bangladesh just whipped South Africa's arse.
That opens the door somewhat for England now, which was looking like it was almost shut. I wonder if there'll be any other 'upsets'?
Given that Banlgadesh have made a habit of causing 'shock upsets', that should mean that they should no longer be considered 'shock upsets', right? |

I think the Aussies helped to shut it. |

| Kiss goodbye to the Windies. Still, they could double their points tally (against us of course, not Bangladesh). |

NZ are going to win. Australia has a good record of winning when it matters, but I reckon those recent one day losses to NZ will come back to haunt them.
I'll be barracking for Ireland against Australia - but just for the hell of it.
Windies Always my favourites, but not what they used to be. |

| NZ & Australia are currently the only undefeated teams in the competition. |

You won't make much betting on an Antipodean final.
Talking of Anitpodes - I saw They're a Weird Mob again the other week. I still laugh at the beginning where they show the Australians are walking around upside down. Silly I know. |

I wish I was that confident. Sure, NZ look good but they haven't had their hard matches yet (the three toughest ones are yet to come in the Super 8). And, Aus are looking good too, they haven't exactly looked vulnerable and are heavily favoured by the bookies.
I hope in NZ's final S8 match (against Aus) that Aus get lots of runs again (340+) and NZ chase it down again. |

Because they are only showing the Australian matches on non-cable TV I haven't had the chance to see the other teams play anyone but Australia. I'm just keeping up to date through news casts |
