As Benj and Lisa are in Los Angeles this weekend (thanks for the reminder Sean!), now's as a good a time as any (in fact, the best time) to pull off a Confourence L.A. style.
I P.M.'d GHCool and even noncentz, and Sludge. Anyone else in the area???? |

O.K. I'vew talked to GHCool and Sludge, and it appears that Sunday afternoon is best, schedulewise, and Santa Monica (right next to Venice) -- or the Venice/Marina del Rey area are the best meeting spots (not TOO much travelling, since L.A. is home to some of the busiest freeways in the free world).
So that makes three locals and two Brits. Anyone else local????
COME ON DOWN!!!!!! We're going to decide on a place shortly, but I just wanted anyone else in the area to chime in so we can be sure to try and accommodate you. I'll post the place here as soon as we decide.

Okee dokee. I called GHC and Sludge (both there), PM'd noncentz and calmer, and I'm playing email/cell phone/fourum tag with benj. Turrell pulled a Kurt Russell and escaped a couple of months ago.
Concensus is for SUNDAY after 2:00 p.m. in the Santa Monica/Venice area.
I'm heading down toward Venice to scout out an appropriate spot. I'M PAYING, so everybody just bring your butts on down! Check back in a couple of hours and I'll post the suggested place.

Not only did I leave a couple of months ago, but I used to live basically on the border of Santa Monica and Venice - making me even more bummed to be gone - of course if anyone is travelling through Little Rock - I'm your man. |

This place is right near the beach, and it has its own parking lot. It's right next door to Venice Beach (south), about a half a mile south of the Venice Beach pavillion (where the skaters are). The best way to find the place is MapQuest, but it's just east of the northeastern corner of the intersection of Washington Bl. and Pacific Ave. It's got a nice beach-like decor, and it should be a fun atmosphere.
