Thanks to all of you. Your thoughts and wishes are very appreciated.
My aunt is a great woman. All she's ever done in life is take care of some part of my family, since she left the factory in 1958 to take care of my grandfather after a heart attack. She helped take care of my grandmother and my mother when they became ill, and she took care of us after my mom died (well, I was fairly grown, but she was like a mother after a time). There's no question of what my sister and I should do. I promised her years ago she'd never go to a nursing home.
She has a huge heart and a stubborn constitution. The docs told her 3 years ago that she'd never do a lot of things again and within a year, she was fully recovered and driving again - at least until this past Thanksgiving. She believes in prayer and has stated quite succinctly that she will live to 90. The women in our family tend to do something close to that (or they die quite young).
If I can't find a piano mover, I'll leave it. I've had it over 20 years and my sis is leaving HER piano behind. It's not like either of us play them. I've moved 3 times in the past 7 years, and I at least pared down a lot of my useless *stuff* in those moves. The things I have left I have no desire to lose. Well, I DO have these two cats... I wonder if it would be too much trouble to ship them off to Salopian?? (KIDDING!!)
